A large thrown and turned platter in a textured, iron-rich stoneware clay body with a Tenmoku glaze
The finish on the glaze is very dependant on thickness of application and shows lovely variation from semi-matt rusty red through to rich gloss black. Inclusions in the clay body speckle and melt in the firing, adding further interest to the surface.
